Anne-Marie Scragg is a multi-award-winning theatre & film director, writer and actor. Many of her productions have been, and continue to be, invaluable resources for training frontline workers, teachers, social workers, and business leaders, helping to foster empathy and understanding in their roles.
Her Story
Anne-Marie is passionate about ensuring real representation and truthful, respectful media. She firmly believes that individuals with lived, generational experience should be the ones to tell their own stories. This conviction is evident in her extensive work with Romany individuals and other marginalised groups. As a trustee of Pride of Romany, Anne Marie has observed the widespread racism and misinformation about British Romany communities within institutions and society throughout the UK.
